" Of course, human ability, Your Majesty!" answered Birbal. But according to Akbar, nature was superior. So he did not agree with Birbal and asked him to prove his statement. Birbal requested for a month's time to explain this.
After one month, a sculptor came to the court and offered a very beautiful sculpture of bunches of roses carved in marble. Emperor was very pleased to see this artwork and rewarded the sculptor with fifty gold coins. Then another man came to the court and offered a bunch of beautiful natural roses to the Emperor. Akbar was happy to receive it and gave two gold coins to that man.
Immediately, Birbal went to Akbar and said" See, your Majesty! Just now you have proved that human ability is superior than nature. You offered the artist who gave you man-made roses fifty coins and the man who gave you natural roses only two gold coins!"
The Emperor was abashed and he agreed with Birbal's statement.
Moral: Though the nature is superior, human intellect is undoubtedly superior to it!
